At the request of a company operating several healthcare facilities in the Czech Republic, Re-medical conducted a partial process audit, focusing on assessing compliance with general principles and obligations under the Health Service Act by doctors and other health care professionals,
In the re-medical audit, re-medical assessed, among other things, whether medical records are properly maintained, whether patients have all the information they are untitled to under the Health Care Act and, last but no least, whether doctors and medical staff receive and properly handle patient complaints.
Based on the identified shortcomings, the procedures leading to their correction and new internal directives were drafted.
The expert company has decided to organize a seminar on the top “Good practice in the use and reporting of center medicines” for the doctors of the teaching hospital.
We organized the whole event – we provided premises in the hospital are, refreshments and of course lecturers. At the same time, we also secured a credit assessment of this seminar within the lifelong learning of the Czech Medical Chamber for participating physicians.
An outpatient surgeon approached us in order to establish his own private practice.
And because he wanted to provide medical services as a legal entity, we first established a limited liability company. Subsequently, we have verified that all statutory requirements for the registration of a doctor as a health care provider have been fulfilled, especially with regard to compulsory office equipment and personnel requirements.
In the following steps, we drafted the operating rules and ensured the entire agenda of its subsequent approval by the Regional Hygiene Station. After the physician obtained a decision to grant health care services, we helped him prepare for a tender for a health care provider under the Public Health Insurance Act.
Re-medical carried out audit of material and technical equipment of selected surgeries.
The audit consisted of expert judgment on whether medical devices and devices used in the provision of health services were handled in accordance with the legal conditions under the Medical Devices Act.
In particular, the audit focused on assessing the records of documentation relating to the medical devices used, providing medical equipment, and the availability of instructions for use. Based on the identified shortcomings, procedures have neen proposed to correct them.
The purpose of the audit was to prevent possible fines from the State Institute for Drug Control.
The company, which acts as a dispenser of medical devices, contacted us with a request to assess the compliance of established business practise with the new Medical Devices Act.
We conducted an expert analysis of company’s established practises and recommended individual steps to align business practices with new legislation.
A successful physician with many years of experience in the field of diabetology, which the health insurance company has calculated a very high regulatory deduction, which could ultimately have liquidation consequences, asked us for help in negotiations with the health insurance company.
After taking over the representation and preparing the professional argumentation, the regulatory deduction was not applied by the health insurance company.
The company that wanted to run a home care agency in the Czech Republic asked us to organize an informative training on “Reimbursement of Home Health Care from Public Health Insurance”.
As part of three-hour seminar, which focused primarily on the practical aspects of the issue, we made the company representative a complete agenda of home care payments from public health insurance.
The topics discussed included the issue of obtaining authorization to provide health services or tenders for healthcare providers under the Public Health Insurance Act.
A successful doctor with many years of experience in the field of outpatient surgery contacted us with a request for help with the process of “re-registration” authorization to provide health services from a natural person to a legal entity.
We have established a limited liability company and handled all legal requirements related to the granting of a new health service authorization. At the same time, we arranged for the transfer of the contractual relationship from physical to legal persons to health insurance companies.
